A Series | Yekka Sleeping Pad

It’s a game changer! The dual chamber design is genius. Having the ability to basically have a backup pad built right in takes this pad to the next level.

~ Jason Outdoors, Youtube Channel

The Yekka Sleeping Pad delivers more reliable comfort than any other three-season inflatable pad in its peer range. Our patent-pending technology delivers performance at minimal weight and less bulk than a water bottle. With two horizontally layered air chambers for redundancy, the discerning hiker, hunter, kayaker, fisher or backcountry minimalist who's counting every ounce, there is simply no better choice to assure the kind of comfort you need to wake up refreshed for the trail.

Reliable: Patent-pending technology facilitates unfailing rest and comfort. A reserve air chamber is seamlessly integrated for its time of need without the expense of additional bulk and weight.

Ultralight: Advanced fabrics and a welded design makes it a discrete addition to your pack.

Warmer: Patent-pending technology traps more heat because of an additional layer in the sleeping pad, creating a superb warmth to weight ratio.

Comfortable: 2” thickness, soft-touch fabrics and baffled internal structure provide unrivaled stability and support.

Ultra-Packable: Low-bulk materials make the Yekka Sleeping Pad mattress compact and as packable as a Nalgene water bottle.

Yekka: The word Yekka means ‘two’ in an Australian Aboriginal dialect.

Great dual air chamber backpacking sleep pad

Another quality product by Rakaia! I was pleased with the material and dual chamber design for emergency leak mitigation. I was able to easily fill it with about a dozen breaths and found the air pocket layout very comfortable on the wood floor. I’m certain it will be a great addition to our backpacking kit.

Klymit Static V quality without the cost and difficulty packing down.

I purchased a Klymit Static V from my son who's a Boy Scout. He loved it until he had to deflate it and pack it away for the first time. He ended up giving it to his sister who's having the same issues. I bought this pad to test out as a replacement for both of them, and ways surprised how long it was! I'm 6'6" and it's plenty long for me to. It's easy to inflate and deflate.

Destroyed it, and it still worked great!

Decided to do a destructive test on the pad to see if the opposite side held air, passed with flying colors. Completely trashed the black side of the pad leaving the blue side untouched. Went at it pretty hard to see if there was any leakage between the two sides. Passed with flying colors. Each side is essentially it's own sleeping pad, so if you puncture one side, you can flip it and be sleeping again in minutes vs having to try and patch a pad in the dark. Weight with everything in the delivery was at 576g, which included the paperwork, the included patch patches, stuff sack and elastic band.

Solid for the price

I recently went on a 3-day/2-night backpacking trip using this sleeping pad. It was nice to have to keep me separate from the cold ground. Inflation was easy and took me about 10 large breaths. The one-way inflation valve is very handy. The reason I'm not giving it a full 5 stars is that it is very squeaky and even when it's fully inflated, it can still be depressed enough for your body to make slight contact with the ground when lying on it. I'm fairly light (about 125lbs) and didn't expect to have this issue. My camping partner was using a different brand of sleeping pad and didn't have this issue.

Quality of pad seems good but for the price expected something a little more.
